OUR HISTORY

Dayspring Ministries was founded in 1995 by Sidney and Joy Roye as an Evangelistic/Mission organisation, with a mandate to preach the Good News of Salvation to people of all ages and ethnic groups. We are called to feed the hungry, encourage and restore those that are abused and confused; broken in spirit and rejected, support those who are weak and vulnerable and in distress. God requires that we teach people how to apply biblical truth to everyday living and be equipped to impact the lives of people around us for the glory of God.

OUR VISION

We are a progressive ministry where members are nurtured, equipped, trained and encouraged to maximise their full potential, to use their gifts, talents and skills for the work of the Kingdom.

We are part of a worldwide network of Churches/Ministries building bridges and working in partnership to extend the Kingdom of God. We are members of the Evangelical Alliance and Croydon Churches Forum.
Pastors Sidney & Joy Roye are committed to the work of Dayspring Ministries and Dayspring Community Church. They both maintain a busy schedule ministering in the community and travels extensively preaching and teaching internationally.

Our mandate and vision is to establish a vibrant multi-cultural Worship Centre and Community Hub in Upper Norwood, South London. We are passionate about the message of Jesus Christ and are committed to making a difference in our community and beyond, by reaching out with the Good News of Salvation.

“Go up to the hills and bring wood and build the house, that I may take pleasure in it and that I may appear in my glory, says the LORD.” Haggai 1:8(RSV)

Our current ministries in the community reflect our mission to reach those who are not part of the church; serving the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated and the confused so they can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness and encouragement. Our Mission Statement confirms our belief that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has power to SAVE us from our sins, HEAL and DELIVER us from oppression.
